WEIGHT MANAGEMENT EXERCISE PROGRAM
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – 4:00pm to 7:30pm
Friday – 7:30am to 12:00pm
Exercise is very important for any weight loss surgery patient. To make the most out of your procedure you need to be active to stay on track.
Patients who are scheduled for weight loss surgery at Griffin Hospital, patients who have already had surgery, and those who are considering surgery can take advantage of the bariatric exercise classes.
Exercise and physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, both before and after your procedure. In fact, exercise is a key component to long-term success in your weight loss journey. You should be exercising not only to keep the weight off, but also to improve your overall health, stamina, as well as your emotional and mental well-being.
There are many benefits to exercise, but the key benefit of the Weight Management Exercise Program is the opportunity to learn about and practice targeted exercises that will enable you to start slowly, prevent injury, and safely build up your routine over a period of time.
Our exercise classes provide patients with information about safe, low impact exercises and ways to increase activity in their daily lives. In addition to exercise, topics such as goal setting, nutrition and lifestyle changes are also discussed. These programs provide a safe and comfortable environment for weight loss surgery patients.
