Exercise and physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle for anyone, and especially so for a bariatric surgery patient – before and after your weight loss surgery. In fact, exercise is the key to long-term success in your weight loss journey. You should be exercising not only to keep weight off, but also to improve your overall health, stamina and mental and emotional state. Exercise brings more oxygen to the brain and stimulates cognitive functioning, and has been proven to promote happiness and extend life expectancy.
There are many benefits to bariatric exercise, but the key benefit of the Griffin Bariatrics exercise program is the opportunity to learn about and practice targeted exercises that will enable you to start slowly, prevent injury, and safely build up your routine over a period of time.
Griffin Bariatrics exercise classes provide patients with information about safe, low impact exercises and ways to increase activity in their daily lives. In addition to exercise, topics such as goal setting, nutrition and lifestyle change will also be discussed. These programs provide a safe, comfortable environment for Connecticut weight loss surgery patients.
